The class started off with an attendance question and then we drew the hydrologic cycle with the following words included in the drawing... condensation, evaporation, melting, solidification, glacier, stream, river, creek, ground water, lake, ocean, evapotransporation, and the sun - maybe include local mountains, glaciers and rivers in it?!?!
To end the class progress reports were handed out and we went outside to name all the mountains around us :) Please complete this drawing for Monday and get your progress reports signed! The class went to Nakusp Hot Springs today to take water samples, hike to the source of the hot springs, see the pump system, and enjoy the waters.
Thank you to all who joined! If you were not here today, there is a make up project to complete. Today the class learned about hot springs and how they are formed in preparation for our field trip tomorrow.
Please come prepared for the field trip tomorrow! WE ARE LEAVING AT 8AM!! The class started off with an attendance question and then worked on naming the mountains that surround us. After, everyone drew a hydrologic cycle based on this place. A progress report for Term 4 was sent home.
Please hand in your mountain names and hydrologic cycle! Get your progress reports signed! ALSO, please hand in your field trip forms Tuesday - this is the last day to hand them in!! The class started off with an attendance question and then we walked down to the Illecillewaet River to take some water samples. After, we recorded our data and had a group discussion.
Please bring in your signed field trip forms ASAP! The class marked their plate tectonics tests and then reviewed the hydrologic cycle in preparation for a field trip tomorrow. The class started off with an attendance question and then we had the rest of the block to make sure everyone had time to finish up their missing work from the pate tectonic unit.
The class had an open book test today. We also marked the test and then we did an attendance question to end the week. Have a great Friday!

There is an open book test tomorrow! Please come prepared with your notes and willingness to collaborate and problem solve with your peers :) Today we did the following earthquake preparedness sheet (the following websites are helpful) and then reviewed the layers of the earth.
