Today the class took the following notes... After, we defined the following words using our textbook: opaque, translucent, transparent, convex, concave and mirror. Then, students drew results from an experiment using a ray box, opaque object, translucent object, transparent object, concave + convex lenses, concave + convex + plane mirrors and prisms. At the end of class, progress reports were handed out.
Notes... Question: Are light rays visible? Give examples. Answer: Yes, some light rays are visible. Examples = rainbow, sun rays and a flash light. Question: What does the path that light travels in look like? Answer: A straight line. BIG IDEA: We can see light when it is reflected off an object or when we look directly at the source.
